What Is A Trifocal Lens?
Like a multifocal lens, a trifocal lens has many sections that are set to different alternating refractive powers. How a trifocal lens differs is that it allows for excellent vision at all distances.
This includes seeing up-close, at intermediate distances, and far away. This is possible because the alternating rings contain sections that are set for these distances.
In a multifocal lens, they are only set for up-close and far-away vision, while in a trifocal lens, the alternating rings have sections for all three of these distances.
