Eli Pratte, M.D.

Education and Early Career

Originally from Farmington, Missouri, Dr. Eli Pratte completed both his undergraduate education and medical degree at the University of Missouri–Columbia. He went on to complete his ophthalmology residency at Washington University in St. Louis before joining Pepose Vision Institute as a Cornea & Refractive Surgery Fellow.

Dr. Pratte was drawn to ophthalmology by the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in patients’ lives through better vision. His interest in surgery, combined with the precision required in ophthalmic procedures, ultimately led him to pursue the field and further specialize in cornea and refractive surgery.

Cornea & Refractive Surgery Fellowship

As a Cornea & Refractive Surgery Fellow at Pepose Vision Institute, Dr. Pratte is receiving advanced subspecialty training in the diagnosis and treatment of corneal conditions, cataract surgery, refractive surgery, and other anterior segment procedures.

He chose Pepose Vision Institute in part because of the practice’s longstanding involvement in refractive surgery and advanced vision correction. Refractive surgery is a particular area of interest for Dr. Pratte, and his fellowship provides the opportunity to further develop his experience while working alongside Pepose Vision Institute’s ophthalmic surgeons.

Dr. Pratte is especially passionate about the impact vision can have on a patient’s independence and quality of life. He values the opportunity to combine advanced technology, surgical precision, and individualized care to help patients achieve their best possible vision.
